Rob Waldron is a distinguished leader in the golf and resort real estate industry, specializing in golf courses, resorts, and master-planned communities. As Senior Managing Director and Partner at Leisure Investment Properties Group, LLC, (LIPG) he leverages over 30 years of expertise in golf and hospitality to provide unparalleled advisory services to owners, investors, and operators. Prior to affiliating with LIPG, Mr. Waldron held senior management positions with respected firms such as Marriott Corporation, Fore Golf, Legg Mason Real Estate Services, and Indigo Golf Partners (FKA Billy Casper Golf).
In 2013, Mr. Waldron joined the National Golf & Resort Properties Group at Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services, focusing on golf markets across the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, Midwest, and Florida. His extensive background spans finance, operations, marketing, acquisitions, brokerage, debt placement, business development, and consulting—positioning him as a trusted expert in the underwriting and sale of golf course assets.
Throughout his career, Rob has been instrumental in managing the acquisition of nine golf courses, brokering over $200 million in golf course transactions, underwriting golf financing exceeding $400 million, and advising on more than 300 golf course projects. He has also participated as an equity investor in multiple golf properties.
A respected voice in the industry, Mr. Waldron, has authored numerous articles for leading golf trade publications and has been a featured speaker at national and regional golf industry events. His commitment to the game extends beyond business—he has served on the Board of Directors for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Golf Course Owners Association, the Washington Metropolitan Golf Association, and Argyle Country Club. Additionally, he has volunteered as a Tournament Rules Official for multiple Golf Associations including USGA, MSGA, MAGA, and WMGA. Rob has been a member of the Golf Digest “100 Greatest Courses in America” Panel since 1998.
Mr. Waldron graduated from Penn State University, where he majored in Finance and played on the Golf Team. He later pursued graduate studies at Temple University. He also holds a Florida Real Estate Sales Associate License.
